DAY 1: PANGUA (Cotopaxi): solemn session, civic parade.

CHILLANES (Bolívar): civic parade, aid of the national song, solemn session, popular dances, bull fights.

 

DAY 12 - 20:
COTACACHI (Imbabura): Celebration of the Equinox of Summer, celebrations ritual, election and coronation of the queen, events artistic and cultural.

 

 

DAY 17 - 19:
INGAPIRCA (Cañar): Celebration of the Inti Raymi: Indigenous celebration in the summer solstice, dances and typical food, emphasize ancestral traditions.

 

 

DAYS 18 - 23: 
BALBANERA (Chimborazo): Celebrations of the Inti Raymi, concourse of music, dances, typical food, athletic race, popular bull fights, ritual celebrations, exhibition of crafts.

 

 

DAY 20 - 28:
COTACACHI (Imbabura): Celebration of the Sun or Inty Raymi, initiates with a ritual bath with colorful clothes, music and dance.

 

 

DAY 22:
OTAVALO-COTACACHI (Imbabura): Celebration of San Juan, rite of the branch; Dance of San Juan, popular bull fights; disguised , fights of roosters.

 

CAYAMBE, SANGOLQUÍ, MITAD DEL MUNDO (Pichincha): Indigenous celebration of the Inti Raymi, celebrations in the summer solstice, dances, gastronomy.

 

DAY 24:
OTAVALO (Imbabura), TABACUNDO (Pichincha), GUAMOTE (Chimborazo): Typical celebrations of San Juan, dances, disguises in typical personages, ritual bath in the water slopes, cascade, parades with masks. In Otavalo, there is an exclusively masculine celebration, culminates with the stone launching in the Church of San Juan.

 

 

 

DAYS 28 - 29: 
Celebrations of San Pedro and San Pablo
ALAUSI AND LICAN (Chimborazo), MAGDALENA,CHECA, PIMAMPIRO, TABACUNDO, and POMASQUI (Pichincha), COTACACHI (Imbabura): pyrotechnic fire, popular bands, bull fights, disguises, typical food, bulls of lights.

 

CAYAMBE (Pichincha): Square of indigenous communities, dances and band of town in the Puntiachil Temple, election of the Intiyusca, parade of the joy, bulls of lights. Long walk to the Route of the Ice, rises the Cayambe and it competes to see that who brings the heavier ice piece. These activities are until the first Sunday of July.
