We travel to the Geo-botanic reserve of Pululahua located at 40 kilometers north east from Quito. In the middle of spectacular scenery you enjoy this dormant volcanic crater- the biggest one in the American Continent and one of only two habitable craters in the world- there is a ranch where gentile and safe horses will be waiting for us to take us in an unforgettable excursion along a variety of sceneries and climatic zones.
The first day we horse back ride for three to four hours, the second day we horse back ride for four to five hours.
The trip will take us from an Andean agricultural area to tropical vegetation with plantain, sugar cane, and coffee crops, passing through old volcanic avalanches, cloud forests and creeks with crystal water. We can also observe pre-Incas ruins along the way. You’ll have a better understanding of the present and the past life styles in the Ecuadorian farms, their geology, and botany, but most of all the opportunity to discover virgin natural resources on horse back.
Lodging and gourmet food in a ranch in the middle of a mystic crater atmosphere.
