The mystery of the Cloud Forest

Our one day visit is a marvelous way to enjoy the special environment in the Cloud Forest located only an hour and a half from Quito!
If you have visited the Amazon forest, you know this area is very different in some aspects but yet in others they are very similar; for someone who doesn’t have the time to travel to the Amazon forest, you truly experience an Ecuadorian Cloud Forest without worrying about malaria or a long journey.
We leave early from Quito from where we make a short stop to visit the Pululahua viewpoint and from there we take a scenic route through the beautiful scenery of forests and mountains.
At Km 52 we
turn off to the right on a small route that takes us uphill to Bellavista. There we are greeted by a delicious breakfast and when finish we’ll take a walk to discover the Reserve.
Before our breakfast off course we’ll have time to observe up close the massive amounts of hummingbirds. The breakfast is a gourmet meal inside the Dome surrounded by the breath taken scenery that has given our Reserve the name of “Bellavista”.
Later, you have the choice to rest or adventure again in a new hike alone or with a guide through the forest. Our trails are well marked, safe, and easy access.

We offer our clients a unique stay in this paradise inside our four storey Geodesic Dome above the forest canopy, thatch-roofed, and windows with 360 degrees (surrounded by 19 different hummingbird species); or our original Bamboo House, the German house; or if you prefer to be alone in the middle of the forest in David’s House
Additionally you will enjoy our delicious and abundant gourmet food, the fabulous forest, mountains scenery, and plenty of safe and well marked trails.
Our itinerary gives you the option of a variety of guided activities as well as the opportunity of exploring on your own and off course simply relaxing!

Optional: short stop at Pululahua crater
Arrive to Bellavista. Discover our hummingbirds that include more than 10 species everyday and very close.
